Hardly one's typical Christian praise & worship band, North Ireland's Rend Collective (formerly known as the Rend Collective Experiment) often feature children's toys and odd handmade instruments in their sound, and the group's rootsy folk-rock sound makes them a sort of non-secular version of Mumford & Sons. This Christmas album, recorded live around a campfire, is an acoustic, spontaneous affair, very organic in feel, and full of communal spiritual joy. ~ Steve Leggett
